you will just have to walk alone
wednesday's lunch was spent at HK's cafe at Marina Bay. their milk tea is damn fragant and it is a hundred times way better than those that you find in bubble tea shops. briefing for work ended at 7. caught the movie "Jumper" with my friend at night. the movie sucks. there's no storyline at all. they focused too much on his ability to teleport already i think. on the way home, i accidentally alighted at bukit gombak station and i think the station was really eerie, cause there was hardly a single soul in sight and it was nearing midnight.
thursday, which is today, started off at 5.30am. lol. my blur maid woke me up at the wrong timing. i was supposed to wake up at 6.30am instead. but nevermind, i couldnt get to sleep anyway. and i almost suffocated in the mrt again. i wonder what is wrong this time round. thank god i prepared some sweets beforehand. work was super tiring. it has been ages since i have stood for 4 hours continuously. we were told on the briefing on wedensday that we were supposed to be balloon distributors, but today, we were assigned to be flyer distributors instead. it was said that the balloons would only be delivered during the weekends. and so i realised, distributing flyers aint an easy task. you have to fake a smile, constantly speak, answer enquiries and as well as to carry a heavy load of brochures with your hand. my hand was shaking rather badly after 4 hours. my waist felt as if it was going to break into two by 10pm. my knees looked like they are going to cave in any minute when i reached home. it is really aint no relaxing job at all. haha. next time, if i see any flyer distributors along the streets, i will definitely take the flyers from them already. the other part-timers who were working with us were rather friendly as well. and it was rather surprising to see brandon and his gf there too.
anyway, i have to built up my health asap already. it takes only 25 minutes to travel from jurong east station to cityhall station via the mrt. BUT it takes a bloody freaking long 68 minutes to travel from jurong east to changi airport! OMG! i think i will be in a coma before i even reach the airport.
i thought i was ready to face it. but i wasnt. let's just say i am a coward. it's too late to say anything now too. i let it slipped past me. i've learnt a precious lesson when i was in my secondary school days. if it falls upon you, then go for it. dont hide. dont be scared. face it. take up the challenge. who knows what the future has for you.
alright. 3 more days of work to go.
